Neurodiverse Life Coaching Services

  • We spend the first 18 years of our lives mastering the school environment. For everyone but especially those who are neurodiverse or on the spectrum, this is not adequate preparation for the real world. Beven seeks to teach each client valuable real-life skills necessary to function in the natural environment.

  • The majority of people learn social skills by observing others around them. Many neurodiverse people do not intuitively acquire these skills as easily as their neurotypical peers. As a Neurodiverse Life Coach, Beven specifically teaches social skills in a step-by-step manner similar to teaching a math problem to someone who struggles with math concepts.

  • It is very common for neurodiverse people to have a difficult time with reciprocal conversation. It is one of the most complex skills to master. Communication is not monologuing but rather a back and forth exchange where active listening and active participation are equally important to achieve a successful interaction. As a Neurodiverse Life Coach, Beven excels at teaching this highly imperative skill.

  • It is not uncommon for neurodiverse young adults to be living at home with their parents. This percentage is even higher for those on the spectrum. From obtaining a driver's license to taking care of personal space, hygiene, budgeting, planning for the future and much more. As a Neurodiverse Life Coach, Beven helps clients achieve the independence they know they want but are finding it difficult to make happen on their own.

  • Whether it's planning for college and training for a very specific career or planning to get into the workforce and find their niche, Beven helps clients discover appropriate educational and employment paths suited to individual strengths and supportive of individual challenges. A career should be rewarding and fulfilling as well as suitable for making a nice living.

  • The biggest difficulty for those on the spectrum is understanding non-verbal communication. As a neurodiverse Life Coach, Beven works with clients to read and convey effective body language and all of the nuances of communicating that go far beyond vocal language. Verbal language on the other hand involves noises, gestures, emotions, cultural understanding and more.

  • How many times are we told to get out there and make friends or find a relationship without specific instruction on how to do so? Beven has developed methods that take clients through the levels of friendship, trust and relationships step-by-step so that they build a healthy, safe and solid relationship with friends, family and professionals. This can also include support for dating, romantic relationships and even intimacy and consent.

  • Many people Beven works with struggle with managing and organizing their lives. Executive functioning struggles are common for those on the spectrum and for a lot of us. Still, these skills can be taught, practiced and improved upon with tools, practice and proper support.
